I've wanted to build an electric car for some time now. I have been examining different strategies for battery power and motor. Trying to decide what kind of car would make a good conversion and how I would convert it. It's a project I've been obsessed with and finally the obsession has taken over. I bought an old 1989 Toyota Tercel and It's a real piece of junk. I'm going to have to tear the whole car down and reassemble it. I will have to replace the gas motor with an electric motor and find a way to connect the motor to the transmission. I will have to find some batteries that will give me the best performance for what I can pay and I will have to install them in the car and wire them in series without killing myself. Sounds like alot of fun dosen't it? The best part is that my daughter wants to help me do it.
